Model Village

The concept of a model village originated in the 18th century. Its intent was to create a contained community revolving around industry. Earlier developments that can be traced to the origin of the "Model Farm" can be seen in the 17th century farm development.

However, with the rising threat of climate change the model village as a mode for urban development might become a once again popular as a more sustainable solution.
